My Story
By the grace of God, He has blessed me to do my DTS at Heidebeek, the Netherlands. I didn't deserve it, but He did it anyway. Heidebeek is a place where I have seen God's hand at work in me and in my life. It is a place of tremendous growth and a community that pushes you to be on fire for Him. It is also a place filled with opportunities to serve the Lord. Here, I have come to understand that our mission in life means more than just serving the Lord with all our might. Most importantly, it also means maintaining and deepening our relationship with Him along the way.
Heidebeek is a place where generations are empowered to serve the Lord. It is a place where encouragement flows freely and words of affirmation are spoken. Every tear shed represents another step forward in someone's journey. Every one-on-one mentorship helps guide someone toward the right path. This is a place where lives are transformed for the better.
At least, that's how I've experienced my time there. I was there for just three short months, and yet it was so meaningful. The other three months I spent serving in Mozambique were a completely different journey, where I experienced the day-to-day life realities of life on the mission field. A whole different kind of transformation!
This entire journey began with one simple "yes" and the helping hands of people who have supported me through their prayers, words of encouragement, advice, and financial support.
I could never have experienced all these things the way I did without God and the people He chose to work through. I'm beyond grateful of what God has done in my life and in the lives of the people around me. I couldn't ask for more.
What am I doing right now?
I'm currently working with Envision, a youth and young adult missional leadership development ministry of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA in Indonesia). It's based in Bandung, just 30 minutes away from the orphanage where I grew up and spent 24 years of my life. Here's a list of what I'm currently doing!
Serving Together With The Interns and Short-Term Mission Teams
They focus on cross-cultural awareness and support long-term field projects that happen locally.
Sport Ministry (Futsal/5-Aside Football)
English Community (NGOBAR Community)
English Village Program
Church Ministry (Worship Team)
Even though I'm working in ministry, I'm blessed to receive a salary. It has been a tremendous help in preparing for my return to Heidebeek as a staff member. My salary helps cover the cost of the Dutch lessons I need to take to prepare for the exam required for my visa application. It also helps cover my daily expenses and allows me to save money in preparation to return to Heidebeek!
Why Heidebeek?
Many people around me have been asking me, "Why go back to the Netherlands?" It's a question that has weighed on my heart because I know that the Netherlands needs Jesus, but so does Indonesia. I believe there must be a reason why God chose for me to be born and raised in Indonesia. I'm proud to be Indonesian and grateful to be part of its culture. I couldn't be more thankful for where I come from! At the same time, I believe that God places desires in our hearts for a reason. As it says in Psalm 37:4:
"Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
I don't have to understand everything completely before deciding to move forward and take the next step. The reality is that the door to Heidebeek is right in front of me, and it looks like there's a possibility for me to return. More than that, I feel that God is leading me back and has placed this desire in my heart, even though I don't fully understand why just yet. So, I'm going to knock on that door and see if it opens. I believe that whatever God places before me and whatever He entrusts to me in the meantime, I need to take action and be responsible for it. After all, DOING NOTHING IS NOT AN OPTION! So why Heidebeek?! I guess I'll discover the answer throughout my journey. And if I'm lucky enough to figure out the "why" or get a glimpse of it sooner, I'll make sure you guys are the first to know! :)
For now, join the team, and let's serve the Lord together!
What Do I Hope to Do in Ministry at Heidebeek?
Ministry is a tool to make Jesus' name known.
After some conversations with the base leaders, I will most likely be joining the DTS (Discipleship Training School) staff team, with the possibility of helping re-pioneer the football (soccer) track within the DTS. Beyond that, I'm open to serving wherever the base needs me. Whether it's working with the school, helping with maintenance, keeping the facilities clean, or taking on other responsibilities, I'm willing to learn and serve wherever I'm needed. I believe God will continue to teach me, equip me, and shape me throughout this journey.
I also have things that I'm passionate about, such as football (soccer), music, and building connections and relationships with people wherever I go. I'm excited about the possibility of using these passions as part of my ministry wherever they can be useful.
Whatever my role may look like, I'm genuinely excited, and my heart is full of joy as I look forward to what God has in store for me!
Will You Be Part of This Journey?
As I prepare to return to Heidebeek, one of the biggest steps I need to take is building a team of people who are willing to support me financially on a monthly basis.
For me to be able to serve at Heidebeek, I need people who are willing to partner with me in this journey through consistent monthly support. This financial support will help cover my living expenses and other costs associated with serving in the Netherlands.
It is also an important part of meeting the financial requirements for my visa application and making my return possible.
But more than just financial support, I would love for you to be part of this journey with me. Whether through prayer, encouragement, or financial giving, every form of support means a lot to me. I believe that mission is something we do together, and I would be incredibly grateful to have you on this team.
If you feel led to partner with me financially, I would love to invite you to consider becoming a monthly supporter. Any amount, given consistently, would make a meaningful difference as I take this next step toward returning to Heidebeek.
A one-time gift is also very welcome and deeply appreciated! I understand that not everyone is in a position to commit to monthly support, and I am genuinely grateful for every contribution, no matter the amount. That would help me for the visa process, plane ticket, and the preparation to go back!
Thank you for being part of my journey, for believing in what God is doing, and for helping make this next chapter possible. Let's make Jesus known together!

About monthly support!
For us to be able to do this, the IND (Immigration and Naturalisation Service) will need you to write a pledge of monthly support. It's a legally binding commitment made by a sponsor to provide a recurring monthly allowance to cover the living expenses. I will update you about it!
I would appreciate your prayers and words of encouragement!
